Project Description:
I am investigating my relationship with the dense, chaotic and murky city scape of Lahore, as I share its space with strangers, back to back with some and facing others head-on. I move from station to station making my way home every day, facing discomfort, sweaty crowds and the air reeking of petrol.
The gritty color pallet coming from the fumes and the smog that envelops its dwellers. I translate its overwhelming rawness through lose and fluid use of paint, spilling, scratching and letting it flow, while also trying to direct it just a little.
From inside the busses I watch my city go through, tumultuous urbanization, depleting infrastructure, complex intersection and a never ending sea of frantic people.Try it!
