Shades Of Tayside

Wildtiere

Red appears for a moment, sometimes quietly and sometimes with certainty. It rests against old brick, catches the evening light, passes through a crowded street, or sits alone within an otherwise muted scene. It draws the eye without asking to be noticed, giving fleeting moments a presence of their own.

Perhaps that is what makes red so compelling to photograph. It can belong to a place without being defined by it, changing with every surface, shadow and setting. A colour encountered by chance becomes, for a moment, the detail that remains.

Heartbeat II

To photograph people is to encounter only a fragment of something far greater. Every individual carries an interior world formed by experience, memory and circumstance, much of which remains beyond what can be seen.

Photography creates a space in which these brief encounters can be examined. A gesture, expression or moment of stillness can suggest something without revealing everything. Perhaps this incompleteness is what makes looking at people meaningful.

The Algarve Masterpieces Digital Art Collection. What if Paul Cézanne had travelled to the Algarve, captivated by its rugged landscapes, sun-drenched colours, and timeless beauty?

Paul Cézanne’s Algarve

Central and South America are regions of extraordinary diversity, where centuries of history have created distinct cultures and ways of life. Their character reflects the influence of heritage, adaptation, and the relationship between communities and their surroundings.

These regions offer a deeper understanding of how culture develops through time. Their traditions, identities, and perspectives reveal societies with remarkable complexity, creativity, and a strong connection to their past.

This exhibition reflects a personal season of transformation. After many years in a corporate career, painting became my way of exploring movement, change, and spiritual growth. Each canvas captures a moment in that journey—like stepping from the outside world into a place of quiet reflection. For me, creating these works felt like walking from outside into home.

Canadian Artist | Originator of Brutalist Figuration

LT Playfair is a Canadian artist based in West Vancouver and the originator of Brutalist Figuration—an instinct-driven approach built on line weight, pressure, gesture and direct engagement with the surface.

'Black Lines Matter' brings together foundational works from 2018–2021 and explores what happens when those marks leave the sketchbook and occupy space. Drawings are enlarged to architectural scale, recurring figures are reimagined as sculpture, and sound and movement become part of the encounter.

At the centre of the exhibition is a primal idea: the human need to make a mark. Like the first hunters marking cave walls, Playfair works from instinct before explanation—reducing the figure to essential human signals while allowing the line itself to carry the weight of the image.

“My lines have weight.” — LT Playfair

The Work of His Hands celebrates the beauty of creation and the transforming work of God in our lives. Like the Master Artist, we are continually being shaped through seasons of joy, struggle, growth, and renewal. This collection invites you to pause, reflect, and discover hope within each painting, while recognizing that every masterpiece—on canvas and in life—is ultimately the work of His hands.

Follow an emotional journey through a collection that reflects the human experience—from trials and transformation to hope, healing, and the courage to pursue the dreams placed within your heart. The Work of His Hands reminds us that beauty can emerge from brokenness, light can overcome darkness, and every season of life can become part of a greater masterpiece.
