Artist Statement/ Bio
I am an artist working in London. I was trained at the Byam Shore school of art, at Cambridge University
and at the Royal Drawing School. I teach drawing at the Royal Drawing School. My particular interest is in
making partially abstracted responses to the art of the past. In 2019 my book’Painting and Reinterpreting
the Masters’ was published. Recently I have made responses to paintings by Antoine Watteau. I will be
Artist in Residence at an important upcoming exhibition of Renaissance drawings in London in the coming
