"My trip to Latvia felt like traveling back in time. Old wooden buildings stand alongside post-socialist structures. The country seems caught between its former Soviet and Russian occupations and its ongoing search for an identity of its own. This sparsely populated region exudes tranquility in its forests, villages, and on its Baltic Sea beaches. Relics from the Soviet era are visible everywhere. They blend gently into the surroundings or are accessible to tourists as museums. Respectfully and with gentle humor, I aim to portray the feeling of peace and tidy strangeness that this archaeological journey brought with it."Try it!
