The Tibetan mantra is "Om Mani Padme Hum," which translates to "Praise to the Jewel in the Lotus". It is a six-syllable mantra used for meditation and spiritual development, symbolising the union of wisdom and compassion. Each syllable is believed to purify different negative emotions, and repeating the mantra is thought to help purify the body, speech, and mind to attain enlightenment.
Om: Purifies pride and ego.
Ma: Purifies jealousy.
Ni: Purifies patience and desire.
Pad: Purifies ignorance and prejudice.
Me: Purifies greed and possessiveness.
Hum: Purifies aggression and hatred.

Enlightenment: By chanting this mantra, one can, in theory, transform the impure body, speech, and mind into the pure body, speech, and mind of a Buddha.
