UnFrame: Relationship is a series of psychological self-portraits that use expired film to explore memory and relationships. Each subject; including myself, family, and partner was photographed with film from the year of their birth.
The film’s natural ageing, its fading, fog, and grain, introduced chance elements that reshaped the portraits, reflecting how human connections often diverge from expectations. Presented through collage and fragmentation, the works become metaphors for memory, intimacy, and identity.
Building on this foundation, the project is now expanding toward themes of ageing, memory loss, and Alzheimer’s, positioning photography as both an artistic and therapeutic tool.Try it!
