I created this artwork with deep emotions. I cannot understand the logic behind trophy hunting. Must balancing the animal population in a game park really come at the cost of an animal’s life? Is there truly no other way to fund conservation than to sacrifice innocent blood for money? 
 
For those who loved Netsai, his death is a devastating loss. He was a majestic lion, a proud member of his pride, and brother to Humba. Together, they took over Cecil’s pride and roamed Hwange National Park, drawing visitors from across the globe. These brothers were living icons of this magnificent natural reserve. 
 
To know that someone ended Netsai’s life without regard for his beauty and grace is heartbreaking beyond words. His loss is immeasurable. Tears fall as we ask ourselves: when will we stop feeding the appetite of those who kill for sport? When will we finally raise a stronger voice to say NO to trophy hunting? 
 
Yet even in death, Netsai’s memory lives on. This artwork is my tribute to

Netsai was a magnificent lion, a regal ruler of Hwange National Park. A symbol of strength, he protected his pride and provided for his cubs, briefly sharing his reign with his brother, Himba. Beloved by tourists and revered by locals, Netsai’s life was tragically cut short by a trophy hunter who valued his life only as a prize. The sorrow that swept through his pride and the park was profound, a poignant reminder of the loss of such a noble creature.

The sun was setting over the savanna, casting a warm, golden light across the parched grasslands. The lioness, muscles tensed and gaze sharp, carefully stalked her prey. Each step was measured, precise, and silent, like a dancer in the shadows. She knew one misstep would alert her prey, ending the hunt before it began. So, she kept her ears tuned to the slightest rustle, her nose alert for any hint of scent.

The leopard crouched low in the tree branches, his golden eyes keenly scanning the savannah below. A patient, stealthy hunter, he waited for the perfect moment to strike. As the sun set, casting long shadows over the landscape, the leopard’s ears twitched at the sound of approaching footsteps. With his heart pounding, he tensed his muscles, ready to pounce at just the right moment.

A mother's love for her baby is an emotion so pure and strong, it's hard to put into words. It’s a love beyond logic, existing without conditions, as if a piece of the mother’s heart beats within her child. Every smile, every laugh, every little milestone fills the mother’s heart with joy. She holds her baby close, cherishing every moment, every touch, every breath.
