One of a series of prints working with the image of a queen bee that has been draw and then digitally manipulated in various ways to underscore the nature of the image as a produced artifact and to draw attention to the plight of pollinators threatened by habitat loss and pesticide use.

This print has been produced using Procreate on my ipad mini. I have used experience drawn from my regular life drawing to depict the figure and have really enjoyed the vivid pinks, greens and purples. Measurement includes the mount.

Dreaming in Pink

This piece is based on a photograph of a dog chew that has been mangled and discarded. The image has been manipulated and rendered in a two-dimensional visual field in contradistinction to the three-dimensional nature of sculpture. It is a study, implying it is a part of a process and not a 'finished' product but, in fact, there is not and never was a completed sculpture at the end of the process.The original chew was the sculpture created by a dog without intention and it is only through the intervention of the artist that any change of status can be considered while reversing the input/process/output causality normally associated with any production process.

Studies for an Accidental Sculpture

A watercolour and pen piece inspired by watching a Dipper on a North Devon Beach. This beautiful bird was so engrossed watching the sea its flock flew off and then it had to hurry to catch up. This original painting comes with a certificate of authenticity. 30 A3 limited edition prints of this piece have been produced. Original is A4 and is in a plastic protective sleeve.

This wood engraving is from my residency at The Observatory in 2017 at Burton Bradstock. The engraving was made inside the building looking across the landscape.

Edward created this wood engraving for the book Weird, Wild and Wonderful. It represents the history of the highwayman, Tom Faggus. The weapon he used is kept at the Barnstaple Museums’ archive. Mr Faggus used to live in Winsford, Exmoor and this is a view overlooking the village.

Days End

Rosie is a keen beach go-er living on the Atlantic coast of North Devon, plastics feature on visits - pockets, bags, filled with little bits of plastic. PLASTIC BEACH is an ongoing body of work - connection between net packaging and light light dancing on the surface of the sea, a development of ideas connected, more recently to micro plastic scientific marine research slides. Abstract images - the single use plastic packaging reminicent on the netty surface of the sea, with a dark tale of the microplastics in our global waters. Rosie believes single use plastics should be banned; human blood samples now often have microplastics in them. This body of work also considers the beauty, tropical shores, the fragility and invisibility of pollution. This ongoing body of work is an abstract expression of a deep concern for people's seemingly unending addiction to single use plastics. It is a collagraph print made of plastics collected form the beach and single use plastic packaging,

his Marigold Man sits in classic sorrow pose, usually of a female nude, reflective of the difficult global climate in the 2020s - an unsettling time. Northcott Mouth Beach

Rosie is a keen beach goes, sea swimmer, often the surf at Weatward Ho! can be decribed as MESSY - off shore breeze and wave tops that salt your eyes on a boad. This is a one of a kind oil on monotype painting - a process found in the portfolios of Degas and William Blake, a single impression is taken from an un-makred thinly inked plate, drawn into to create the image, printed with an etching press then oil paint glazes are added to enhance the image and add colours.
