This series emerges from a shared moment marked by peace, vulnerability and intimacy. Rather than attempting to document the experience directly, Chantal’s photographs hold onto its quieter traces: shifting light, silence, gestures and small details that might otherwise disappear from memory.
Working with a Canon AV 1 and Ilford HP5 film, she allows these fragments to remain delicate and unresolved. The images seem to surface briefly, carrying the atmosphere of a moment that can be remembered but never fully recovered. In this sense, the series is less a record of what happened than an exploration of what remains, a feeling held briefly in the photographic frame before it too fades.
