I painted "Unexpected Pleasure" to catch you in the middle of a room looking at it with soft and curious eyes. There's a moment where you stop trying to figure out what you're looking at. That's when it opens up. Forms hover in layered space, neither fully abstract nor quite figurative, color moving in ways that shift with the light. Inspired by nature and its cycle of renewal, "Unexpected Pleasure" is exactly that: something you didn't know you were looking for until it was on your wall.
