Much of life is spent looking ahead: toward the next achievement, the next milestone, or the next version of ourselves. Yet the finish line often keeps moving.
Enough explores the rare moment when the pressure to become more begins to fade. The figure appears surrounded by movement, colour, and impressions of daily life, yet the emotional focus turns inward. Rather than depicting solitude, the painting reflects a state of self-reconciliation: the quiet recognition that nothing needs to be fixed before life can truly begin.
Part of the Living Presence series, this work investigates the tension between inner stillness and the constant demands of contemporary life. The simplified figure avoids individual identity, allowing the viewer to enter the work through their own experience. Enough suggests that fulfilment is not always found in what lies ahead, but in the ability to feel, even briefly, that who we are and where we are is already enough.Try it!
