My work focuses on movement and continuity within the landscape. Living near the coast, I observe how sand, water, and light continuously reshape the shoreline through waves, wind, and tides. The landscape is in constant change, yet follows a recurring rhythm. I work with cyanotype, an early photographic process in which sunlight, water, and time actively form the image. The paper is placed outdoors, often directly in sand and seawater. While the process is guided, chance remains an essential part of the work. Nature functions as a co-creator. Sand is a central material in my practice. It is millions of years old, yet increasingly vulnerable. Rising sea levels and large-scale interventions such as sand replenishment exert ongoing pressure on the coast. My work examines the traces of this tension between natural processes and human control. The works are abstract and non-representational. They do not document specific events, but reveal conditions shaped by movement, repetition, and change. Each image is a unique trace of time and cannot be repeated. The work captures a moment that has already passed, while pointing to processes that continue.
