Beth Hempton

Curiosity fuels my art, whether I'm studying the natural beauty of a delicate flower, or the characteristics of an interesting object made by human hands. I've always been an observer with a keen eye for detail, a noticer of the little things. A perfect summer strawberry, iridescent wings on a beetle, an intricately carved detail in a doorway - these kinds of things delight and astound me. I enjoy trying to capture a bit of their essence with my paintbrush.
