“ANYwhither" is a nine-panel botanical composition created from an intimate observation of flowers at the threshold between recognizable form and abstraction. Soft blues, turquoise, pinks, lilacs, warm yellows and touches of green create a luminous, almost dreamlike atmosphere. Enlarged fragments of petals, leaves and floral structures fill each small panel, allowing colour, texture and gesture to become as important as botanical recognition. The close viewpoint creates a sensation of entering the plant rather than simply looking at it.
This artwork is a part of an ongoing series “ANY" which is built around the idea of possibility and participation. Each work consists of a number of small panels that can be rotated, rearranged, combined into a single composition or displayed individually. There is no predetermined orientation and no single “correct" way to experience the work.
