For a while now, I've been focusing on watercolor painting. I love how spontaneous and colorful this technique is. Any corrections? It's a real challenge, and honestly, it's pretty much impossible. The next watercolor painting is the improvement. My Bavarian homeland, with its mountains and lakes, has definitely influenced the types of images I use. After spending a while in Barbados, I've become really into the sea and water in general. It's always moving, looks beautiful, but then it can unleash its incredible power. And then there's the sky, with its vastness. With all its different colors and types of clouds. My art lets us travel mentally. It brings back moods, reflections, and encounters. Abstraction means focusing on the essentials without getting distracted. It's not just about showing reality anymore. Each picture is made from scratch using shapes, colors, tones, and textures. At the same time, the picture reflects my mood, even if it's just the ever-changing combination of these four elements. Abstraction invites you to establish your own connections to a work of art, to interpret it yourself, and to interact with it.
